Germany – Kassel, 25–26 April 2026
Two days at the 103rd “Herkules Bergrennen” Herkules hill race in Kassel, featuring nearly 100 participants ranging from Wartburgs and MGs to German classics such as Mercedes. A broad spectrum of historic motorsport culture set against below the UNESCO World Heritage and the iconic fountains of the documenta city.
Day one opened under ideal conditions with dry roads and clean light for the first runs. The morning session was interrupted after an accident caused by an oil spill on the course. Demonstration runs were halted while emergency services responded immediately on site. According to current information, material damage occurred to the vehicle and the driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The remainder of the day continued in a controlled format after the interruption.
Day two took a calmer course. Higher temperatures, significantly more spectators, and a smooth running schedule defined the Sunday. With no incidents, the competitive runs continued throughout the day and concluded around 4:30 p.m.
Two days defined by historic machinery, controlled risk, and the enduring appeal of classic motorsport in a unique setting.
